Richard is an artistic director, music producer, composer, facilitator and events producer.

His work focuses on engaging, writing and recording with diverse artists to create new music and cultural events of significance. Richard has studied contemporary music practices and explored music making with world and sacred music practitioners. The majority of his work is with the culturally and linguistically diverse communities of Western Sydney. Having grown up and lived in Western Sydney, Richard’s work is inspired by challenging the stereotypical views of the Australian sound or image, to create a new sound for Australia or an event that is reflective of its multicultural neighbourhoods.

Richard's artistic practice is unique. It is about breaking new ground; exploring new styles of music, blending genres to experiment with extending the capabilities of distinctive instruments and manipulating sounds from a range of cultures that now represent Western Sydney. He can be best described as an artist and innovator in contemporary music that has guided the development of a new and unique "Western Sydney Sound" by drawing on the breadth of arts and cultural practice across the region.
